This recipe for jalapeno bacon deviled eggs on Real Housemoms takes everything that is wonderful about the classic appetizer and makes it better with a few simple ingredients.

In addition to a dozen eggs, you’ll need bacon, jalapeno peppers, mayonnaise, dry ground mustard, paprika, rice vinegar and sugar to put this together.

With any recipe, the secret to good deviled eggs is getting them properly hard-boiled. There are a number of tips you can try to get there, including using a muffin tin in the oven, an Instant Pot, or the stovetop method of bringing the water up to a boil and then putting the eggs in the hot water (off the heat) for about 15 minutes.

As the eggs cook, you can prepare the bacon to add later in the recipe. During this time, you can also cut the peppers and remove the seeds. The seeds inside the pepper are what make them spicy, so you’ll want to make sure you remove them so things don’t get too heated when you take a bite.

Once your eggs are cooked, just follow the recipe to remove the cooked yolks and prepare the remaining ingredients.

When you’re finished, you’ll have a perfect bite filled with the classic creaminess of the deviled egg with a little bit of heat that will leave you and the rest of your family craving more!
