Manchester United 2019-20 season in review
Man United qualified for the Champions League last season, which was really the only objective for Ole and company. The loss in the Europa League final stung, but would have been much worse had United not already qualified for UCL this season.
United played well at times in the first half of last year, but everything changed after the signing of talisman Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Club de Portugal. Bruno completely changed the style of play, bringing a level of dynamism centered around him that improved every player on the field. He scored 12 goals and assisted 8 times in just 22 appearances for the Red Devils, and will be even more productive this season with van de Beek and Paul Pogba behind him in midfield.

Manchester United did not play in week one against Burnley as scheduled, due to the club’s participation in the UEFA Europa League in August.
The Red Devils looked promising in the back half of last season, despite losing in the UEL to Sevilla. (Everyone in UEL loses to Sevilla). The talk around Old Trafford is that they can really contend this season, especially due to the new signings coming in.
Crystal Palace is a traditional mid-table (or slightly worse) team, and that probably won’t be changing anytime soon. Star winger Wilfried Zaha will be a threat as always, as might new signing Eberechi Eze. Look for Eze to possible get his Palace debut on Saturday.
