Mark Wahlberg And Wife Renewing Vows To Celebrate 10th Wedding Anniversary?
Mark Wahlberg is not planning to renew his vows with wife Rhea Durham to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, despite a made-up tabloid report. can correct the story. We’ve learned it’s untrue.
According to Life & Style, Wahlberg and Durham are “renewing their vows in tropical Barbados” to celebrate ten years of marriage. The tabloid quotes a “source close to” the actor as saying, “They’re planning a small intimate ceremony later this year. It’ll just be the two of them and their kids.”
The outlet’s article is based on the word of an anonymous and possibility fictitious “insider,” but reached out to Wahlberg’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record it’s “not true.” It’s worth acknowledging, the couple’s enduring relationship is impressive, as they’ve been together for 18 years and have been married since 2009. Although it’s likely they’ll have a celebration for their 10th wedding anniversary, it won’t include renewing their vows.
It should be noted, Wahlberg and Durham are both committed Catholics, with their first date being a Catholic Mass in New York City. Renewing wedding vows isn’t a common practice in the Catholic Church, and it’s rare for a Catholic priest to agree to have any kind of a ceremony beyond a simple blessing. But if the spouses were to renew their vows, it’s far more likely they’d do so in a church, not on a tropical island.
Unfortunately, the tabloids have been known to publish untrue stories about the couple’s relationship. In May, busted Life & Style’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting that Wahlberg and Durham were expecting a fifth child. That wasn’t the case and this latest article makes no mention of the couple having another baby.
also called out the magazine’s other sister outlet, OK!, for publishing a false story earlier this year claiming Wahlberg was “high maintenance” and his constant “primping” was getting on his wife’s nerves. Although the actor is dedicated to fitness, he’s certainly not driving anyone in his family crazy over it.
In January of 2018, Star made up a phony story about Durham “begging” Wahlberg for another baby. The outlet didn’t mention that the actor said as far back as 2010 that it was unlikely the couple would have a fifth child. It’s fairly clear that the gossip media doesn’t know much about Wahlberg’s marriage, so it prints fiction about the actor and his wife instead.
