Meghan Markle shared the cutest video with Archie for his first birthday

Today, May 6th, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s first son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, turns 1 year old. To celebrate, Markle read Archie a picture book for a good cause, and, thankfully, we all get to watch in an adorable video. Happy birthday to Archie, and a big thank you to Meghan.

Markle’s video with Archie—with Dad Harry behind the scenes as the cameraman—appeared on the @SaveWithStories Instagram page, which is full of celebrities reading books to viewers. In the new video, Mama Meghan reads Duck! Rabbit! by the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld.

“Read by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (with Harry, The Duke of Sussex behind the camera) to their son Archie for his 1st Birthday. Happy Birthday, Archie!” reads the caption.

Is it possible this video is making us happier than the book is making Baby Archie? Way too cute.

The Save With Stories campaign was founded by Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams in response to school closures caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Together with No Kid Hungry and Save The Children, the campaign aims to raise money to give meals to kids who normally rely on school lunches to stay fed.

The caption continues to note the importance of Save With Stories. “THIRTY MILLION CHILDREN rely on school for food. Responding to the needs of kids during these school closures @savethechildren and @nokidhungry have a new fund @SAVEWITHSTORIES to support food banks, and mobile meal trucks, and community feeding programs with funds to do what they do best—and also—with educational toys, books, and worksheets to make sure brains are full, as well as bellies.”

If you’d like to donate to the cause, head over to the #SaveWithStories campaign page where you can donate any given amount, or text SAVE to 20222 to donate a one time gift of $10.

The Royal Family’s official Instagram page also wished their youngest family member a happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor who is celebrating his 1st birthday today!” the caption reads. “Archie is The Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.” This royal family fun-fact, that he’s the eighth grandchild, is notable because, in late April, the same account mistakenly noted that Prince Louis was the sixth grandchild. He is, in fact, the seventh. This time, for Archie, it got the math correct. (Who can keep track with all of these adorable royal children?)

Archie may not realize it yet, but he and his parents are helping kids stay fed during a troubling time in history. Well done, Archie! Keep up the good work.
