This is so unexpected! Robert De Niro and his longtime wife Grace Hightower have decided to put an end to their marriage after no less than two decades of being married to each other!
The two have actually been together for almost thirty years, most of which they’ve been married but it looks like not even their union was forever!
Page Six was the first publication to report the unfortunate news.
One insider shared with the outlet that the Hollywood legend and his wife are actually not living together anymore.
That being said, the split is yet to be made official by the Oscar winner, but the source assured the site that he’ll announce it in the weeks to come.
The speculations that they were no longer in a harmonious marriage started because Grace has been attending quite a few events without her husband at her side.
‘De Niro and Grace are breaking up. He has been at a few things since the very end of the summer without her — and rumor has it they are done,’ the insider dished.
As fans may know, the actor and former flight attendant walked down the aisle back in 1997, nearly a decade after starting to date.
They have a 20 year old son named Elliot as well as a six year old daughter – Helen Grace.
This is not the first time they are reportedly filing for a divorce.
In fact, they really considered splitting up only two years into their marriage back in 1999, but they eventually reunited and even had a vow renewal ceremony in 2004.
Hopefully, the two will manage to save their union once again!
