A secret group of highly-qualified scientists is working to end COVID-19 with the backing of some of the world’s wealthiest people. The group is composed of more than a dozen doctors and headed by doctor Thomas Cahill. The 33-year-old former physician has collected some of the world’s greatest minds to workshop a way to stop COVID-19. He named the group the “Manhattan Project for the age of coronavirus.” The original Manhattan Project, which began in 1939, was the research project that ultimately yielded nuclear weapons. It’s been a difficult six months for first-time parents Emma and Wayne Bates from Burnley, England. After trying for 10 years to have a baby, they finally saw that dream come true on Oct. 8, 2019, when Erin was born. But doctors had some devastating news following that incredible event: their daughter had a rare heart condition called tetralogy of Fallot, which sees patients suffer from a combination of four different heart defects at once. The FCC is making it easier to get subsidized internet during the coronavirus

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is relaxing some of the requirements to qualify for its subsidized broadband and phone service Lifeline program as more people need access during the coronavirus emergency. Specifically, the agency’s Wireline Competition Bureau relaxed a rule that required an applicant to submit three consecutive months of income documentation to qualify for the service. The waiver of the rule will last until June 30. Netflix is making an anthology series about social distancing

The production team behind Orange Is the New Black is developing an anthology series for Netflix around the new realities in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The anthology series, titled Social Distance, will be centered around the “new, bizarre, bewildering reality we are all experiencing,” according to the show’s producers.
