Their podcast is a must-listen for Hallmark fans!
This time of year, many people’s guilty pleasure is binging Hallmark Christmas movies. Sure, the movies may be a bit cheesy, but they’re full of holiday cheer, and they always have a happy and heartwarming ending.
Brandon Gray, Daniel Pandolph and Daniel Thompson love Hallmark Christmas movies so much that they host a hit podcast about them, “Deck the Hallmark,” in which they watch and review all 37 original Hallmark holiday movies.
Out of the three friends, Gray is the true aficionado of the genre. He says he came up with the idea for the podcast as a way to get his pals together to watch his favorite movies each week. Thompson is decidedly on the other side of the spectrum and is the group’s harshest critic of the films, while Pandolph falls somewhere in the middle in his assessment of the movies. So far, the podcast has had about 20,000 listens. Here’s a shot of the three hosts, posted to their Twitter:

“We get a lot of interaction with Hallmark fans,” Gray told Country Living. “Typically, it’s very positive, most seem to get what we’re doing. Our goal is to try our best to have fun without this seeming mean-spirited.”
They’ve also had actors from the movies on as guests, and they hope to one day get one of the genre’s superstars, Candace Cameron Bure, who has starred in six Hallmark Christmas movies, to make an appearance. Gray is such a fan of the movies that he hopes to pen his own script for one in the future.
