Attention all chocolate lovers!

We have found the ultimate recipe to satisfy a chocoholic’s sweet tooth: French silk brownies. It combines two of our childhood favorites — brownies and chocolate pudding pie — and turns them into one ultimate dessert that people of any age will love.

Best of all, French silk brownies sound fancy but are fairly quick to make, taking only a little over half an hour to prepare. Less time in the kitchen, more time eating brownies!

The recipe comes courtesy of Betty Crocker and suggests using a box of the brand’s fudge brownie mix. Of course, you can use whatever brownie mix you already have on hand. You’ll also need the amount of water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box, as well as miniature semisweet chocolate chips

That takes care of the brownie part, but you’ll need additional ingredients for the silk filling. For that, you’ll need a package of softened cream cheese, as well as powdered sugar, unsweetened baking cocoa, heavy whipping cream and vanilla.

The topping for these brownies will use more of the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. You can also use more miniature semisweet chocolate chips for the topping or try another type of chip.

The recipe itself is straightforward: Prepare the brownies, make the silk filling and then spread the silk mixture over your now-cool brownies. You’ll want to refrigerate the filling-topped brownies for two hours so they solidify a bit, and then you can add the topping.

This recipe makes 24 servings, so it’s the perfect dessert to serve a hungry crowd.
