Strangely enough, some people do not find puns funny. You will find some rolling their eyes off or grunting after hearing a ‘punny’ joke. However, most of us appreciate a well-timed pun, and reward a genius wordplay with a big smile on our faces.
Some people who certainly enjoy a good laugh with their ever-changing and punny signs are the Indian Hills Community in Colorado. The man behind all of the jokes, Vince Rozmiarek, explains that it all began when he started volunteering at the community center.
“5 years ago, on Aprils fools day, I put up a sign that really stirred up the area. We have a heavy police presence in the town of Morrison, which is next to Indian Hills, and they run a ton of speed traps. The sign said “Indian Hills annexed by Morrison, slow down”. – he says.
Many people loved the prank, and it drew a lot of attention. So, Vince decided to put punny jokes more often. He says that he also tries to create unique holiday puns and events that he feels are important. The reason why he does it? He likes to make people laugh!
