As the special guest on the most recent Office Ladies podcast, John Krasinski joked that he and his former Office costar Jenna Fischer “didn’t get along well.” Of course, that is a big fat lie. But he did share that he pulled a prank worthy of his character, Jim Halpert, on Fischer, who played Pam Beesly, while filming. Though it wasn’t entirely his idea, Krasinski called it his “one fully-formed, good-throughout prank.”

Krasinski Skyped into the May 13th episode of Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s (who played Angela on the show) Office-themed podcast to talk about the iconic “Casino Night” episode. However, the chatter quickly veered into some of their memories from filming overall, including Fischer remembering that one prank.

“It was at Schrute Farms and you and I had this scene where we had to drive up to the farmhouse several times,” Fischer recalled during the interview, referencing Krasinski. “And we’re doing it and I am getting increasingly more hot. I’m warm. I’m sweating. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, it’s so hot,’ and we had to turn off the AC for sound and you’re like, ‘Yeah, I don’t know, I’m okay, but you’re hot, huh?’”

Fischer continued, “This went on for like 15 minutes, and all of a sudden you started snickering, and you had turned on my seat warmer all the way to the hottest setting.”

Krasinski noted that this prank occurred “late in the run,” meaning he waited until later seasons to pull such a daring prank. It was that prank that made Krasinski realize that he is such a “bad prankster” because he actually stole the idea from his Leatherheads costar, George Clooney, who pulled the prank on him.

Even so, Fischer admitted she was “so excited” when Krasinski finally pulled one over on her.

“Whenever we would go on talk shows, they would always ask us if we played pranks on each other, and I would always say, ‘No, not really,’” Fischer said. “But then finally, after you did that, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! This is great! I can finally have a prank to talk about!’”

“You got Clooney-ed,” Krasinski joked.

Besides the one and only prank Krasinski played on Fischer during his time on the show (which is not very Jim Halpert of him, by the way), he admitted that the two did share some pretty cute and hilarious bits. For example, Krasinski would almost always attach a Post-it note with something funny written on it any time his character had to deliver a memo to Pam’s desk.

And, drumroll please, Krasinski ended up with The Teapot that housed a sentimental note to Fischer, which has become somewhat of a Holy Grail of Office memorabilia.

As if you needed more of a reason to love this costar friendship, right?
