There are a few things in life that seem to be universally understood as cute. Newborn babies are one of them. Their innocent and tiny squishes, with their little heads and big eyes, tiny fingers and toes, make them incredibly cuddly.
But what happens when we add Disney characters to the mix? The result is the cutest photo shoots for babies ever! One mom, Margaret Domingo, has taken it upon herself to create the perfect outfits for newborn Disney princesses to rock during their big moments. Margaret, a mother of two boys, has been showcasing her amazing Disney-inspired looks on her Instagram page and selling them on her Etsy store, The Yarn Mermaid. Prepare to be enchanted as we showcase some of the most adorable images of newborns dressed in crocheted perfection.
Margaret wrote in the Instagram caption, “As an Asian-American, Mulan has always held a very special place in my heart. It’s hard to believe that the original animated feature premiered more than 22 years ago, and I still remember the pride and wonder I felt as a young girl finally seeing myself represented in a Disney film.” With that sentiment in mind, Margaret created a custom-made Mulan outfit that a little girl was able to wear.
Carl from ‘Up’
This little dude is dressed up as Carl from the Disney Pixar movie ‘Up’! The hat perfectly captures the look of the crotchety but lovable old man as he flew his home with balloons to his dream location. Margaret was inspired to create this collection of Disney crochet outfits because of her lifelong love of all things Disney.
Aladdin was another favorite for Margaret, and it’s easy to see why. She paid attention to every detail from the movie, making this outfit a true representation of her love for the Disney franchise and its stories. She even crocheted a lamp to complete the ensemble, and posing her son on the carpet adds an extra touch of magic.
King Triton from ‘The Little Mermaid’:
In this adorable photo, Margaret’s son is dressed up as King Triton. She admits that this is one of her favorite outfits among all the ones she has created so far. In the Instagram caption, she shares, “When I first got pregnant, I thought I wanted a baby girl to dress up in all the pretty sparkly outfits and, of course, do a beautiful mermaid photo shoot! But I was destined to be a boy mom, so here’s my King Triton!”
