Here’s how you can catch up with the Pearsons!
When season two of “This Is Us” premiered on NBC last September, 12.9 million viewerstuned in to catch up with the Pearson family. Now, with season three finally imminent (it begins Sept. 25 to be exact), viewers are champing at the bit to find out what is going to happen to all of their favorite characters.
Is Deja going to be OK? What happened after she broke the car window at Kate and Toby’s wedding? What will Kevin do in Vietnam? We have a lot of questions.
Meanwhile, you don’t have to wait until Sept. 25 to get your “This Is Us” fix. That’s because the producers of “This Is Us” are satisfying our yearnings with a pre-season special that will air one week before the season begins, on Sept. 18.
Filled with cast interviews, highlights from the past two seasons, discussion of potential drama in season three as well as fun facts and behind-the-scenes clips, the “The Paley Center Salutes This Is Us” is going to be a must-watch for every fan of the series. All of your favorite characters will be there to discuss the show, including Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan and Susan Kelechi Watson.
However, Mandy Moore warns fans that season 3 might not be everything that fans expect.
“People expect it to be a straight line to finding one another and living happily ever after — and that may not be the case,” Moore told Entertainment Weekly of the series’ upcoming flashbacks to her and Jack’s first date and past love story.
But don’t despair. Creator Dan Fogelman promises that season three will feel lighter than season two. (Thank goodness! We were going broke with all the tissues we had to buy.)
“There’s humor and love and levity after a very heavy season which I always like when we do,” Fogelman told The Wrap. “And then… some wallops. It’s our most ambitious season. It’s going to pack a great deal of emotion, and the storylines are going to surprise people.”
