Kris Jenner, Matriarch

Kris Jenner is the mother of six beautiful children: Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie. Many, if not every one, have become a household name in America. The Kardashians are arguably the most recognizable family today, second only to the Royal Family. Jenner’s children and grandchildren are proof positive that she’s, without a doubt, one of the most powerful celebrity matriarchs of our time.

A Castle Fit For A Queen

In medieval times, queens got castles. In modern America, they get million-dollar mansions, and Kris’s is no exception. With such a growing family tree it’s important to plant deep roots. Kris has done just that with her new $9.92 million California home.

Kris’s new home is close to her grandchildren, right across the street in fact. A move like that, whether intentional or not, shows Jenner’s devotion as a grandmother.

The mansion’s lush yard and gardens equal a staggering 55,757 square feet of land, plenty of room for the family to enjoy, or for future additions to the house.

A Born Entrepreneur

Some may wrongfully assume Kris had ridden the coattails of her fabulous family and doesn’t deserve to reap the benefits of their fame. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Kris is the reason her family earned the success that it has. She runs Jenner Communications, a production company out of LA, and she managed her daughter Kim’s career long before anyone was Keeping Up With The Kardashians. She also opened a boutique in 2004 called “Smooch” for her oldest daughter Kourtney.

The distressed rug and matching chairs (which look incredibly comfortable) go well with the interior decor in the dining room. The contemporary light fixtures also look good, complimenting the artwork’s earthy tones.

The magnificent kitchen features a combination of marble countertops and wooden cabinets with sleek black handles. There’s also plenty of room. Can’t have too many cooks, even if they are Kardashians, in this kitchen.

This mother is also a writer, and not only a writer (everyone these days is a writer), but also a published author. In 2011, Kris released her autobiography titled: Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian. Then again in 2014 she released a cookbook called: In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites.

Island Life

One mark of wealth, not to mention good taste, is the kitchen island, which of course this beautiful kitchen has. There’s nothing better than being able to prepare food while spending time with those you love, and an island allows the cook to socialize with their guests rather than having their back turned the whole time.

Next to the kitchen is another, wonderfully illuminated dining area with enough seats for a slew of guests. It’s not hard to imagine celebrating the holidays at grandma Kris’s.

Trying Her Hand At Daytime Television

Kris hosted her own daytime TV talk show, Kris, where Kanye introduced his and Kim’s eldest child to the world for the first time. The show only lasted a few weeks and was not extended, but that’s still longer than most pilots get.

The Queen Suite is larger than most New York City apartments and comes fit with an immense place for beauty rest and even a common area with couches and chairs included. The rug mimics the one in the dining area and adds a contemporary feel to the grey tones of the furniture, throw pillows and bedspread.

Looking at the bathroom from another angle allows us to see two additional mirrors and multiple sinks. This washroom was made for a perfectionist, but even for the naturally beautiful, things like this are still nice to have.

Keeping Up With Kris

Always looking to start something new, and an ingenious marketer to boot, Kim approached Ryan Seacrest, who owns his own production company, with an idea for a reality show based on her family. He thought it was a good idea and Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been on the air ever since. The series is currently 15 seasons (226 episodes) long.

Essentials

What celebrity mansion doesn’t have a home theater? Kris keeps it classy here though, never overemphasizing her wealth nor compromising on taste. Sure, this is a “home theater,” but its seats are long sofas and the area is welcoming and wide open instead of secretly tucked away in some dark room.

What’s In A Name Anyway?

Kris wedded lawyer Robert Kardashian in 1987 and the union produced four wonderful children. Their marriage lasted 13 years, but the two remained close friends until Robert’s early death from cancer in 2003.

A Lavish Lounge

Enjoying a few cocktails or unwinding with a glass of wine is fine in this home bar. Besides, clubs are for kids anyway. Kris once again shows her sophistication with this lavish lounging area.

Budding Bond With Bruce

In 1991, one month after separating from Robert, Kris married her second love, former Olympian Bruce Jenner. The two had two equally beautiful daughters, Kendall and Kylie. The couple remained together until eventually divorcing in 2015.

Yes, yes there is. The simple fact that two different shots were needed to capture the size of this closet makes us realize we’ll probably never even catch up to the Kardashians, let alone keep up with them.

Multi-Generational

Kris is a matriarch with nine grandchildren at the time of writing, and there will likely be more in the coming years. Imagine how many of those grandchildren will have grandchildren of their own, and how such a remarkable family tree can be drawn back to Kris. People may dismiss the Kardashinas for whatever reasons they can conjure up, but at least they’ve taught the world one valuable truth: Raising a family is a wonderful thing!

Being a close friend with the former wife of O.J. Simpson, Nicole Brown, and being married to the Juice’s lawyer at the time of the “Trial of the Century” Robert Kardashian, Kris will forever be tied to the tragic incident. But that’s merely a footnote in Kris’s life, and hardly a defining moment.
