Are you ready to spice up your life? Everyone’s favorite ’90s girl group, the Spice Girls, is staging a reunion tour. The superstars will perform concerts on six dates throughout the United Kingdom in 2019.
Unfortunately, one key member will be missing from this highly-anticipated reunion. Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Mel Brown (Scary Spice) are all on board, but Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) will not be joining them.
The reunion tour was announced on Instagram via a cheeky video — which does not include Posh:
“Breaking Spice news…Tickets on sale Saturday at 10.30am #GirlPower #FriendshipNeverEnds,” read the video’s caption.
Fans first got excited that a reunion tour could be in the works when the original five members got together earlier this year and each shared a group shot on social media. On her post, Beckham wrote, “Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!!”

Shortly after the photo swept the internet, they released a statement confirming that they were indeed working together again:

“We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the world for The Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together,” the statement read.
Beckham cited her business and family commitments as the reasons she won’t be joining the tour.
Now that the four-Spice reunion tour has been announced, some fans seem less enthusiastic about heading to a concert without all five of the girls. When a BBC reporter asked fans whether it would be the same without Beckham, several expressed disappointment. One fan noted that Beckham doesn’t exactly need a career boost, and that perhaps she’s concerned that her fashion brand “might be damaged by doing something ‘cheesy.’ ”
Meanwhile, another fan — James Corden! — called this “the most important news in my lifetime.” Corden told the “Late Late Show” audience about the reunion tour, and riffing off an earlier election joke, Corden said, “I didn’t even need to vote, the party that I wanted is now back in power — girl power.”
In April, Corden suggested to Beckham that the Spice Girls should join him for Carpool Karaoke. If it happens, that’s something we would all look forward to — especially since we haven’t seen them perform together since the 2012 Olympics in London.
The Spice Girls will be joined by special guest Jess Glynne on their reunion tour. Tickets will go on sale on Nov. 10 at 5:30 a.m. ET. After their initial success in the mid-to-late 1990s, the group last toured together in 2008. They also performed at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
How exciting! Are you glad that the Spice Girls are performing together again?
