Watch The Official ‘Dumbo’ Trailer Is Here

Disney fans, get excited: After months of anticipation, the official trailer for the new “Dumbo” remake is here, and it’s going to bring a tear to your eye.

Tim Burton, the prolific director behind “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” is giving “Dumbo” the live-action treatment, which drops in the spring of next year. And if the new trailer is any indication, Burton’s reimagining of Disney’s classic animated flick is going to be a thrilling and heartwarming ride.

A classic in Disney’s stable of films, “Dumbo” is based on the story of a real-life African elephant named Jumbo who was treated poorly by P.T. Barnum, a circus magnate. In the 1941 children’s movie, Dumbo is separated from his mother and left all alone, enduring mocking from other circus animals who pick on his large ears. Eventually, the young elephant learns that his ears enable him to fly, helping him find his courage and embrace his differences.

Burton’s “Dumbo” pulls from much of Disney’s original ’40s film, mixing live-action and animation to update it for the 21st century. The movie also features a fantastic cast that includes Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton and Eva Green, who will help bring the flying elephant’s story to life.

“Dumbo” hits theaters March 29, 2019. Who else can’t wait?
