As you probably remember, last month, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj had an explosive fight while at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during NYFW. The fight was complete with shouting, swearing and shoe throwing and part of it was caught on camera.
One eyewitness at the party shared with E! News that ‘It was so fast! I heard somebody screaming—everybody recognized Cardi’s voice—people either got out of their way or took out their phones and started filming. Nicki was surrounded by a number of guards and barely even looked at her. Next thing you know, shoes are flying and Cardi is on her way out.’
Later on, Cardi took to social media to accuse her nemesis of dissing her infant daughter and slamming her parenting skills.
But while on Queen Radio, Nicki insisted that she’s never done such a thing.
Now, Cardi is finally explaining the whole story, more precisely, how the feud between the two female rappers started.
The Bodak Yellow star is on the cover of W Magazine and in the interview for the publication, she says: ‘For a while now she has been taking many shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding. But she still kept it going.’
According to the new mother, she was first enraged by the fact that Nicki liked and then unliked a post that was criticizing Cardi’s parenting abilities.
‘I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter. I love my daughter. I am a good-a** f***ing mom. So for someone that don’t have a kid to like that comment? So many people say that the party was not the time or place, but I ain’t gonna catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block,’ she told the magazine.
