Blind Girl Sings Whitney Houston In Small Fishing Village & Has Everyone Floored.

Blind Girl Sings Whitney Houston In Small Fishing Village & Has Everyone Floored.

The late Whitney Houston’s voice is one few can match. Her sound was not the product of auto-tune, it was natural talent which is something that simply can’t be taught.

Many have tried to cover Houston’s music, and those covers either bring goosebumps to the audience or leave everyone cringing. There is very little in between. The video below is the perfect example of the former.

In the video, a young girl named Elsie sings Houston’s classic “I Will Always Love You,” originally by Dolly Parton. She performs the song without any background music and truly honors the musician’s legacy.

What is even more impressive is that Elsie, who is blind and has never gone to school, is from a small fishing village in the Philippines and does not speak a word of English. So, she not only has a voice that is comparable to one of America’s best singers, but she is able to sing phonetically.

Darrell Burnett, who posted the video, has also shared other videos of Elsie covering songs including “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and “Just Give Me A Reason” by Pink. Elsie manages to make the already beautiful songs even more beautiful.

While every video that Burnett has posted of Elsie is beautiful, her Whitney Houston cover has captured hearts around the globe.

Elsie has gained a huge fan base thanks to Burnett. Comments on her ability are, not surprisingly, full of love, encouragement, and admiration. Of course, many of Elsie’s new fans are tagging Ellen DeGeneres in comments – which is peak viral fame. Honestly, we hope that Ellen (or a major record label) catches Elsie’s performance, because it’s truly breathtaking.

Watch the video of Elsie singing “I Will Always Love You” below. Once you’ve recovered from the rush of goosebumps, be sure to share!
