The boydguard is being sued for American International Group, according to TMZ. The insurer claims that Duvier and his company Protect Security were negligent in their protection of their client when she was robbed at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week.

On October 3, 2016, a group of men dressed as police officers put a gun to Kardashian’s head while robbing her. They then tied her up and locked her in a bathroom. Kardashian was robbed of about $7 million dollars in jewelry, including a ring worth $4.5 million, which her insurance company filled.

10 people were arrested in January 2017 in the hunt for the robbers.

At the time of the robbery, Duvier was accompanying Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian to a nightclub. The insurance company’s basis for the claim is that Pascal left Kim alone, asserting that Duvier “negligently, carelessly, and/or recklessly performed their protection, security, monitoring, inspection, and/or surveying of” his client.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Delaware, also said that there were several security breaches including a missing lock and a broken intercom system. While the suit additionally blames the concierge for his lack of security training, he is not being sued.

Kardashian herself does not have anything to do with the suit, she claimed the amount of damage from AIG after the robbery. Addressing the robbery in April 2017, Kim told Ellen Degeneres, “It was a good seven or eight minutes of torture but when I look back and analyse it, it could have been worse.”

“I’m home, I’m safe, I’m such a better person… I was definitely more materialistic before… I just don’t care about that stuff anymore,” she added.
