Bell says Shepard lost his privileges due to misuse
Kristen Bell occasionally smokes up around her husband Dax Shepard, who is sober now, and he does not mind at all!
Shepard recently celebrated 14 years of sobriety, and Kristen Bell congratulated him on social media with a heartfelt message, saying “I will forever be in awe of your dedication, and the level of fierce moral inventory you perform on yourself, like an emotional surgery, every single night.”
Despite that, she shared on Marc Maron’s podcast that she vapes weed around her husband. She said, “I smoke around my husband and it doesn’t seem to bother him. Weed rules.”
She explained that her weed usage is limited because of the demanding nature of motherhood and her job, but that she does it every once in a while. She explained, “Once a week, if I am exhausted and we are about to sit down and watch 60 Minutes, why not?”
Bell explained that Shepard is aware that “he lost his privilege with them because he can’t handle it; his brain doesn’t have the chemistry to handle it.”
Getting excited about Shepard being alright with Bell’s drug use, Maron encouraged her to host an overnight ecstasy party in her home.
Bell said that Shepard would be open to it since he believes “you shouldn’t leave earth without having tried mushrooms or ecstasy.” She also said that if it were to happen, Shepard would be the resident “sober guide” at the party to ensure that the attendees have a safe and comfortable experience.
Bell and Shepard visited King’s Hawaiian Factory to celebrate Shepard’s 14th sober year.
