“Hi Sisters!” Kylie Jenner and beauty vlogger James Charles just released their first Halloween-inspired video collaboration
Kylie’s FIRST ever Youtube collaboration
Kylie Jenner and James Charles collaborated together for a Halloween-inspired makeup tutorial, and the two ‘sisters’ spilled some secrets while talking.
A couple of weeks ago, Jenner tweeted at James Charles asking him to collaborate with her. Charles immediately hopped on board, and the makeup and YouTube moguls sat down together to create a ‘spooky-glam’ makeup look, using Jenner’s upcoming Halloween collection.
Here’s everything we learned about the ‘Sister’, and the ‘Kween’:
1 – Their first attempt at filming had no audio
A few minutes into the video, Jenner asked James, “Should we be honest with them? And tell them what happened?”
She then revealed, “We’ve been shooting for like three f**king hours, and we lost all the audio. We lost all the audio and we’ve been sitting here for like three and a half hours but it’s cool, we’re just going to have a positive outlook ’cause we really wanna do this for you guys, and do this for you.”
2 – The Halloween collection is Kylie’s favorite collection yet
She told James, “After I showed people, I just felt the love and the response, and it made me remember why I do what I do. So it was a pretty cool feeling and it kind of reminded me what I used to feel like when I first started. I get very excited about things. I’ve worked for a very long time, I worked really hard on it, I put so much love into everything.”
3 – Kylie designs her own packaging for Kylie Cosmetics
Jenner told Charles that she even though she has someone execute the vision, she is the one in charge of concept design, saying, “I’m like 100% involved in creating the packaging. If I want this little thing spot-glossed, or if I want this metallic material, what kind of like cardboard to use. I have someone that helps me with the renderings, but I don’t have anyone that comes and shows me designs and is like: ‘you should do this’, and I’m like ‘approved, approved, approved’. I tell my designer what I want to see on the rendering.”
4 – Kylie had dreams about having Sister Stormi in her life
James asked Kylie how her daughter was, and Kylie revealed, “Sister Stormi is so good. She’s 8 months old, about to be a year I guess. And it’s making me sad. But she’s just changing every day, she really is becoming a little person. She reminds me a lot of Kendall.”
Broaching the subject of how young she was when she had Stormi, Jenner said, “I really feel this is what I was always meant to do. I used to have dreams, at a young age, like having kids. Like actual dreams. I don’t know, I felt like it was a part of my life that I was craving. I don’t feel like a different person, I just look at life a little differently.”
5 – Kylie is all about the sisters only
Pondering on whether she would want more babies, and what gender she would want them to be, Kylie said, “I do wanna have more but when is the question… Sisters only. Like I want seven girls and then maybe I’ll consider a boy.”
6 – Stormi was almost Stormie
Jenner revealed, “Travis thinks that he thought of Stormi. It was me, I remember the whole thing, but he swears it was him. I was just looking at nature names, like Earth inspired. Willow was on there. Storm was on there. I was like I kind of want an ‘ie’ at the end like me. So then I did Stormie. I mean I bought custom things with her name with ‘ie’, I bought her the blocks with ‘ie’.”
She added that she then took a week with Stormi to figure out her name, and to decide whether or not it matched her personality. She didn’t want to rush into naming her daughter and regret it later. She said, “And then when they called me from the birth certificate office when they were finalizing the name, they were like, ‘How do you want to spell it and I was like ‘S-T-O-R-M-I’… ‘You sure?’ And I was like ‘Yeah, just an I.’ Literally right then and there I just changed it to the ‘I’ and I hung up the phone and I was like, ‘Damn, I guess that’s her name.”
7 – Sister Stormi will be participating in Halloween festivities this year
James Charles asked Kylie if she planned to take Stormi trick or treating, to which Jenner said, “I’m gonna take her to one house. My neighbors.” She revealed that on her new street, there is only one other house, and therefore Stormi’s trick or treat options are limited.
8 – Kylie was the closest to Kendall – but not anymore
Talking about her favorite sister, Jenner said that she used to be close to Kendall as a kid, but that they are polar opposites and not that close anymore. She said her closest sisters right now are Khloe and Kim because all three of them had their babies together, but that she goes to ‘different sisters for different things’.
