Leading Voice In The #MeToo Movement Reportedly Paid Hush Money To Underage S**ual Assault Accuser

Actress and director Asia Argento, one of the leading voices in the #MeToo movement paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to her own s*x-assault accuser quietly. He is a former child actor, and once played Argento’s son.

She was one of the first women to accuse Harvey Weinstein of s*xual assault, but she recently agreed to pay $380,000 to the musician and actor Jimmy Bennet, who claims that she s*xually assaulted him back in 2013, when he was 17 years old.

According to ‘The Times, the report was based on correspondence between Argento’s and Bennett’s lawyers that was sent anonymously to them and verified by the people familiar with the case.

A selfie showing the partially nude couple in bed dated May 2013 was included in the documents. Bennet was 17 at the time, and Argento was 37.
His lawyer demanded $3.5 million to be paid in damages, just one month after Argento, the longtime girlfriend of the late Anthony Bourdain, publicly accused Weinstein of r@pe, alongside 12 other women.

According to the notice, Argento’s “s*xual battery” of Bennet left him with permanent emotional trauma and made him unable to make a living.
Argento and Bennet met in 2004, when then 7-year-old Bennet was cast to play her son in “The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things”.

Bennet later appeared in “The Amityville Horror.” and “Daddy Day Care”.
He was visiting Argento in her California hotel room when, citing the documents, convinced a relative to leave them alone.

Allegedly, she plied him with alcohol and s*xually assaulted him.
Their lawyers agreed to a deal in which Argento would pay Bennett $380,000 over a year and a half.
Neither Bennet nor Argento have since commented on the case.
