Pete Davidson returns to social media in characteristic style, throwing shade at the paparazzi
Pete is back on social media following Mac Miller’s death
Pete Davidson is back on social media with a bang two months after deleting all his posts off of all social media platforms.
The 24-year-old comedian works on Saturday Night Live. To promote the upcoming season, he posted a video of himself being chased around by a group of paparazzi around New York City.
Davidson asked the paparazzi, “Hey, how are ya? How you guys doing?”
The photographers answered, “You guys look great, alright. Ah! Welcome home!” Davidson captioned the video, “@nbcsnl back next week. f**k the internet tho…”
When deleting his social media back in July, he let his followers know the reasoning on his Instagram story. He said, “No, there’s nothing wrong. No, nothing happened. No, there’s nothing cryptic about anything. I just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or any social media platform.”
He added, “The internet is an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f**king lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point.”
Davidson has returned to social media just a few days after him and Ariana Grande decided not to attend the 2018 Emmys. The decision came following the early death of rapper Mac Miller, Grande’s ex-boyfriend, from an apparent overdose.
A representative of Grande said, “Contrary to reports, Ariana will not be attending the Emmys tonight. Pete has also opted to not attend to be with her in New York. Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”
Saturday Night Live will return on Saturday, September 29 with host Adam Driver and musical guest Kanye West.
