Amanda Stanton pledges to donate $300 to a domestic abuse shelter after her arrest for domestic abuse
Amanda was recently arrested for beating up her boyfriend in a hotel room
A little while after her arrest for domestic violence, Amanda Stanton has decided to donate $300 to a domestic violence shelter.

The Bachelor actress was taken into custody after she got into a physical fight with her boyfriend Bobby Jacobs. She allegedly battered him inside a hotel room early on Monday, September 10, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Stanton later took to her Instagram story to address the altercation directly to her 1.2 million followers.

She wrote, “I see so many reminders from people that things aren’t always what they seem on Instagram. It’s true that it’s a ‘highlight reel’ of our lives and as much as I strive to keep it real and be open and honest with you guys on here, there are definitely aspects of my life that I choose not to share.”
She added, “Just because I am posting on social media doesn’t mean that life is perfect. I do believe that no matter what you’re going through that you have to pick your feet back up… but the absolute last thing I want is for it to come across like I am sweeping things under the rug.”
She also thanked fans for their support, saying that she would address the issue in further detail at an appropriate time and place.

She also pledged to donate $300 to Laura’s House, an Orange County based agency that supports victims of domestic abuse by providing shelter and other services. Stanton has since deleted the post in which she made this pledge.
She wrote, “With that being said, there are issues I take very seriously. I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t use [it] as an opportunity to do something positive with my platform. I donated $300 to Laura’s House in OC and attached a link if you would like to donate or get involved as well!”

Stanton and Jacobs started dating several months ago, after her appearance on season 20 of The Bachlor and Bachelor in Paradise.
