There’s a bit of controversy involved.
Ariana Grande just shut down rumors that she allegedly wasn’t able to come up with a performance in time for the 2019 Grammys.
After a new interview with Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich, Ariana decided to set the record straight after he told the Associated Press that the real reason she pulled out of the Grammys was due to time.
“I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken,” she wrote on Twitter. “It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

“I offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me,” she continued.

She also revealed that a bus with an advertisement featuring her as a Grammys performer passed her by as she sent out the messages. Even with all the drama, she said she’s still happy she was nominated.
“Hope that helps everyone understand my decision. i am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year.”
