“Sophie Turner” Slams Game Of Thrones Fan Petition To Have The Last Season Reshot It’s ‘Disrespectful’

To say Game of Thrones fans have been mostly disappointed by its final season would be an understatement! The unexpected turn of events seemed to be done only for shock value and the writing, sloppy and rushed.

In fact, people hated it so much that they started a petition for season 8 to be reshot!

However, Sophie Turner, who played Sansa, is not at all happy about the fans’ reactions.

While the actress is apparently not at all surprised by their mixed reviews, she also thinks the petition is too much to the point that it’s ‘disrespectful!’

During an interview with The New York Times, Turner stated that ‘All of these petitions – I think it is disrespectful to the crew, the writers, the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over ten years, and for eleven months shooting the last season. Like fifty-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard and for people to just rubbish it because it is not what they want to see is disrespectful.’

In case you haven’t watched the final episode yet, spoiler alert!

The HBO show ended with a crazed Daenerys Targaryen getting stabbed to death by Jon Snow.

Westeros chose none other than Bran Stark to be its king.

Meanwhile, Sansa convinced her brother to give the North the freedom to be a separate kingdom and for her to lead it as queen!

About her character’s storyline, Turner told the news outlet that ‘I loved it. It is the only place she really, truly feels safe. It is the place that she is the most capable of ruling. She’d be a fair and loving ruler, and it is what she has been striving for this whole series: to go back home and to protect her home. And finally she has that.’
