#Lowe’s Plans To Close More Than 50 Stores—Check To See If Yours Is On The List
You can now add home improvement chain Lowe’s to the list of stores closing locations around the country. Joining retailers like JCPenney, Sears and Victoria’s Secret, Lowe’s has announced the closure of 51 stores, including 20 in the U.S. The locations closing are not performing as well as others, and the majority are within 10 miles of another Lowe’s.
Lowe’s expects the closures to take effect by Feb. 1, 2019. Most of these locations will have store-closing sales, with the exception of some U.S. stores that are closing immediately.

Lowe’s currently operates more than 2,000 stores in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and employs more than 310,000 people. Most associates at the closing stores will be given the option to transfer to another store location....
