Chick-Fil-A Patrons & Workers Pray Together For Sick Employee Who’s Having Surgery.

When times are tough, prayer has the power to lift our spirits and soothe our troubled minds.

At one North Carolina Chick-fil-A, a manager connected customers — people from all walks of life — in prayer, and the resulting viral video is warming hearts nationwide.

During the busy lunchtime rush, the manager addressed the entire restaurant to let everybody know that one of the store’s beloved employees, Ms. Trish, was about to start surgery at a nearby hospital. The surgery is the first step in her treatment for breast cancer, and her well-being was weighing heavily on the minds of her coworkers that afternoon.

The manager told the crowd, some of whom were waiting to order, and some who were already seated in the dining area, that the employees wanted to take a moment to harness the power of prayer for their friend.

As soon as he launched into prayer, every head in the place bowed without a word of argument. It’s incredibly heartwarming to see these total strangers stop what they’re doing to send positive thoughts toward someone they don’t even know.

Silence fell over the once-noisy room as the manager uttered his simple prayer:

Dear Lord, please just protect Ms. Trish as she begins her surgery today. Please give the surgeon a steady hand as they perform the needed surgery on her, and please keep everybody in the surgery room, let them be at their best today, and have sharp minds and clear heads as they work on her. We need her back here. She is our light, she’s a pillar in the community for us, and everybody here loves her so much, and please, please just protect her and get her back her to brighten all of our days…

Once he was finished, business returned to normal… but we’d be willing to bet that this was one dining experience that these patrons won’t soon forget. This brief, impromptu prayer turned their regular lunch into a powerful moment in their community.

We sincerely hope that you get well soon, Ms. Trish. You are clearly loved by your friends at Chick-fil-A!
